Silvermine. The name itself conjures up feelings of excitement and expectation. A perfect outing, whether you go to the lower part (above) with its ponds teeming with bird life and splendid flora or the upper part(below). Here one also can hear the call of the endangered Leopard Toad.

The upper section(below) which stretches to above Hout Bay has plenty more to offer too, from its clearly marked routes, whether it be a short hour walk or a good long walk, right through to its waterfalls which run with the rains and also the assortment of fauna and flora to be found.
