Kommetjie. Our quiet neighbor on the Atlantic side. Must be the cold current?
Kommetjie is a small cray fishing village which retains a quiet country atmosphere. Despite this, this is a surfers hotspot, a focal point for surfing in the Cape, offering an assortment of reefs holding some big swells (below).
Otherwise, also a popular place for bird watching, angling and a very refreshing swim.Be around at the end of the day and watch the awesome sight of an Atlantic sunset, and with some luck one may just see the fabled blue light as the sun sets over the ocean.
